A super aromatic early drinking Riesling that will also become a more complex wine over the next 5-10 years. Perfect with fresh oysters or delicate scallops today.

The 2025 Thunderstone Riesling is, again, typical of the vineyard, region and vintage. A warm spring enabled good fruit set and a moderate crop level. The summer continued to be cool and dry with colder summer nights preserving our acidity. Picking dates were about average for Riesling in the Porongurups.
- Vineyard Notes
The Riesling block is on shallow gravelly soil with a northern aspect. The hand pruned vines are manually shoot positioned with excess and damaged fruit removed before picking.
- Winemaking
The Riesling fruit was handpicked and whole bunch pressed with a very low juice cut to minimize skin phenolics and preserve the delicate aromas of Riesling. Fermentation was cool with a neutral yeast and stopped at dryness. About 4 weeks on lees (yeast sediment) adds a little more weight and texture to the wine.
